Note: If you did not erase printers and add them after May of 2007 this may apply to you.
When you add/connect to a printer through the department you are simply connecting to willow and using the printers that already exist on willow. In the past printing was done entirely by spruce which is no longer operational; for this reason almost all users have to erase their printers and re-add them using willow.
To do this click 'Start', and open 'Printers and Faxes".

Remove all 'nuen-xxx' printers, such as 'nuen-2b', and 'nuen-58', by right-clicking each one, and clicking 'Delete'.**

Add the printers back (via willow) by clicking 'Add a printer' on the left under 'Printer Tasks'.

The 'Add Printer Wizard' appears, click 'Next'.

If you have the option select 'A network printer, or a printer...', and click 'Next'.

Select 'Connect to this printer...', and in the 'Name:' field type '\\willow\'. A list of printers should appear in a drop-down menu. Select the appropriate printer by clicking its name in the drop-down menu. Click 'Next'.

Choose 'Yes' or 'No' for 'Do you want to use this printer as the default printer?', and click 'Next'.

Click 'Finish'.

You should see the added printer, as shown below.

**Note: Deleting your printers and re-adding them will not have a negative effect even if you are unsure of whether you have already added them via willow.
