Before changing your major please visit with the Nuclear Engineering Undergraduate Advisor.
Once approved by the NUEN Undergraduate Advisor, you will need to fill out a change of major form and obtain necessary signatures. For detailed information to major in nuclear engineering see our undergraduate guide.
UNDERGRADUATE TRANSFER STUDENTS
Most transfer admission decisions are made through a competitive review process. Admission decisions are made by early May (late November for spring). For those applicants submitting spring grades for fall consideration, decisions should be announced in early July.
Transfer students should consult the Transfer Guide found on the admissions page for detailed instructions. To be considered for admission to Nuclear Engineering a student must be in good academic standing and have received credit for specific courses referred to as the Common Body of Knowledge (CBK) courses. Seeking admission into Nuclear Engineering you must have credit for CHEM 107, ENGL 104, ENGR 111 and 112, MATH 151 and 152, and PHYS 218 and 208 or equivalent. GRADUATE
Before changing your major please visit with the Nuclear Engineering Graduate Coordinator.
Once approved by Graduate Coordinator then you will need to fill out a petition form and obtain necessary signatures to change major.
GRADUATE STUDENTS TRANSFERRING INTO NUCLEAR OR HEALTH PHYSICS FROM ANOTHER MAJOR
Please check with graduate coordinator about your current major to find out which courses will transfer and determine what level you can begin in the graduate program.
